Not a bad way to do it. Unlocked bootloader, no bloat and updates straight from htc will be worth the POSSIBLE extra few days.

Mine says the 20th and I ordered within 10 minutes of availability. Probably canceling my order. I can just pickup from ATT directly on the 18th. I just preordered from Lets Talk because it was slightly cheaper. I don't need to have the unlocked.

Not only am I extremely impatient.. but I'm using a "rented" phone right now. I need to return it in the next couple days.. I then have to "rent" another phone until my One shows up... I'm really hoping it doesn't get pushed back too much further because I don't want to have to "rent" another phone.. Not a big fan of taking the risk of scratching it or something and being stuck with it unable to return it.

I'm right there with you. Except I'm on my personal original Note with a bad digitizer. Just returned my Nexus 4 so I'm stuck with a busted phone. Even worse now I gotta wait for HTC to get more stock in. The AT&T version is very tempting since ill most likely be able to walk into my store and buy one, but the ability to get updates as soon as HTC releases them is REALLY tempting.

lol me too kinda. My iPhone 5 doesn't like the power button working unless I hit a very specific spot in the corner. I want to replace it before I sell it but I want the HTC first so I can get it replaced and have the replacement as a never used device when I go to list it.

I have until the 28th to return my iphone 5 to the apple store. They give you a month so I get back the full 690$ without any restocking fee. IDK about picking up the One in store off-contract the day its out. I tried with the Z10 and was denied, they said I can order it online though for next day shipping in the store.

The pre-authorization on my credit card for the phone has been removed. I ordered the 64GB dev version and it still says the availability is 4/24/13. I've experienced this before when ordering other phones. They usually charge my card when the product actually ships.

This and agreed lol. 18th ftw. They probably put the 18th there so people would stop hassling them on timeframe lol.

Mine says the 18th, but the availability of the case I ordered says "unknown". If the case isn't in stock--will the phone ship separately? I certainly hope so--but it doesn't say that anywhere.

Like I said, their dates are all over the place but I don't think it really matters. I'm still expecting my phone to ship on the 18th. Seen this happen many times before and 99% of the time the phone shows up when it's supposed to.. you'll just make yourself crazy over analyzing it. For the record, my date also changed back to the 18th.

Yep. My date went from 20th to the 18th. I bet it ships as they originally stated on the 18th. I have overnight shipping so I'm expecting it on the 19th
