Developer Edition - Available April 19th

It makes no difference to some, whom are going to stay with AT&T likely until the next best phone arrives. You can always sell an AT&T phone and move somewhere else if needed.
I'm hoping Let's Talk comes through by Friday and then the unlocked phone can be enjoyed, and sold later to any AT&T or T Mobile user in the US.

The point is why pay for the same price of device when you're getting less? Just so you can have a day earlier?

My order says "customer contact required", do I really have to contact LetsTalk for my order, or is this something that appears for most people and goes away on its own? I prefer not to bother calling them considering all the stories I'm hearing about their support (or lack of). Anyone have experience in this situation?

Yes you do have to call them. They need to confirm that you are who you say you are.

Mine changed a few days ago to say "picking and packing" with a ship date of the 15th and arriving on the 19th. It did not go out yesterday -- and now says it will ship today with delivery on the 22nd. I have a feeling it will keep changing every day until the 18th or 19th. At this point, they may end up sending me an S4 by mistake.

Yea, I'd still wait. It takes forever to get them on the phone if you hang up.

I would bet even if it ships Thursday you won't get tracking info till later that evening.

I'd just be happy to see movement. If they're really planning to deliver all of the first batch preorders on Friday the 19th, then I wonder if I wasted money on the overnight shipping. I figured that overnight shipping would be the only way to guarantee that I'd get it by the weekend (assuming they ship the 18th), but if Letstalk is guaranteeing delivery by the 19th to people who call, why did I bother spending $20 on shipping? FML.

Checking letstalk.com I see they have all the phones up for sale...this is new. They had taken them down but as of 30 mins ago they are up for sale again. Maybe they will ship thursday..

Let's see, exchange locally, replacement on warranty locally, etc. I ordered an unlocked one to get OS's faster because AT&T is always the last to release updates sometimes. But's it's virtually the same phone at the AT&T store, and if it's not here by Friday from Let'sTalk it means a week , not a day for traveling folks like me...

Just ordered the unlocked 32gb yesterday. If there's a chance I may want to root eventually so I can get a more vanilla-ish OS on the device, should I switch up my order for the developer edition? I really, *really* don't need 64gb. But if the unlocked bootloader will save me lots of hassle down the road I'll spring for the extra $80 or whatever and just do it. In for a penny, in for a pound and all that. Thanks!

its sad that this forum was a place to talk about developer edition... but know we have been converted (myself included) to checking in to find out what else letstalk website has to "blurp" on our order status. Maybe ATT has hijacked their website and just writing random order status updates on everyone just for giggles.

In fairness, is there really all that much to say about the Developer Edition that is different from the other versions? 64GB, SIM and bootloader unlocked, no carrier bloat. That hits all the main points.

Many whom ordered direct from AT&T are getting shipping notices today, and deliveries as soon as tomorrow!! Hopefully we get some shipping info soon!! They HAVE to know how many shipped to them, and when they are arriving by now...

AT&T stated they would start shipping on the 16th with HTC the 18th. If nothing happens regarding orders status by EOB Thursday, then we have a reason to complain.
