Hi guys. I've got another problem, obviously. :)

When I'm sending text messages and using Swype, I'm constantly interrupted by the word-suggester thing popping up, even though I've turned it down to it's absolute minimum.

And, for instance, when I swype in the word "that", it will often come up as "ghat", which is obviously stupid, and when I remove "ghat" from the dictionary, it will still pop up next time. Even worse is when I don't get the option to remove a word at all.

I use handcent SMS.

Have you got any helpful tips for me? Thanks in advance!

No tips from me but I'll chime in with my own "swype grypes" - I seemingly cannot type the word "or" without it thinking I'm typing "our". I have the popup set to 50% and it still just inserts "our" instead of "or", but any higher is annoying.

Also, does anyone know how to remove "10q" from the top of the list when you type "1"? I can continue past it if I'm writing just "1" or a multi-digit number beginning with 1, but when trying to enter something like "1.5" the *only* way I can do it is to type "1", choose "1" instead of "10q", hit space, hit backspace, hit period, then hit "5". If I skip the space/backspace, I get "1 .5". It's almost worth switching keyboards just to type "ThunderRom 1.5" then switch back.

It gives me "our" instead of "or" and "ghat" instead of "that" too! It's done this with both handcent and go sms. I typed "ghat" in a blank text, selected it and hit the swype button (top left on the keyboard, the finger) because it says to do that to add/remove words from the dictionary. I haven't really seen it since, but I haven't been typing "that" since either, so we'll see.

I use swype and I dont have these problems. I also have word prediction unchecked in swype settings. word choice window is set very close to never, and speed/accuracy indicator is rt around the middle. I have sms to swype, an app from the market, to auto-add words/spelling variations to the default dictionary. maybe you could give this type of setting a try? gd luck!!
