Did a software update and now my IMAP email account won't sync at the recommended settings.

I just did a software update on my S5 and now my IMAP q.com email account only updates like 2 times a day even when the settings are set for every 30 minutes. It won't sync when I press the refresh button. My work IMAP email works fine.

Welcome to Android Central! Try removing that account from the Email app, then adding it back again.

I updated to second lollipop and nothing is different phone keeps hot still buggy still awful

Are you referring to problems with the stock Email app? If not, please start a new thread with your issue, rather than piggybacking off of an unrelated thread.

I also recently had this EXACT problem. Mine started happening out of blue. I factory reset my phone yesterday. It is now working again. So something weird, but have no idea what.

I updated to the latest Android version yesterday on my s3 and now my email won't work at all. When I click on it to open, it just gives a white screen, with the loading ring rotating. But nothing happens and after a few minutes it says email not responding.

What should I do?

Will going back to factory settings remove all of my files?
