The last few days - pretty much since installing QPR1 on my Pixel 6 Pro, I have had weird issues with my 2017 VW Passat infotainment system.
Some minutes after connecting my phone via USB (defaults to Waze, if it matters), I find that the system is totally locked up. I cannot change stations (SiriusXM) from the steering wheel controls, cannot change Band using the radio controls, cannot switch between radio and map display, etc. The infotainment system is basically totally locked up. Radio continues to play on the last selected channel and Waze continues to update the displayed map (if it was active when the system locked up) and continues to issue turn-by-turn instructions. But, all controls are locked up as well as the touchscreen itself.
Disconnecting the phone does not help; nothing does. I have to boot the infotainment system (press and hold the volume/on-off knob for about ten seconds), after which normal operation is restored.
Only limited testing thus far, but it definitely seems to happen only after I have connected my phone.
