Did Samsung kill the note 8

You can use a stylus on the S8/S8+ but it's such a lame experience that you'll have to wait for the Note 8.
I think if you want to use a stylus on your phone you are better waiting for the note 8. Like you said, you will get a better experience on a note phone with the S pen.

If dun care about dual cam then basically can get a S8+ already, unless you absolutely need the S-pen.
That's what I think. I don't think the note 8 is going to be a great improvement over the S8 plus. If you don't use the S pen then the note 8 might be a small step up.

Sure it might have more internal memory, but a lot have already said most people 32 gigs is enough. Might have more RAM, but I don't think that's a huge deal. Might have dual cameras, so what, if your someone that is serious about pictures you will have a stand alone camera that performs as such. And the famous embedded FPS, that sounds like extra steps to unlock your phone. The S8 series you just touch the FPS on the AOD screen and presto your on your home page.

I personally feel if you don't desire the S pen, the note 8 will be a small update from the S8 plus.

"Did Samsung kill the note 8"

A little too early to tell, but I personally don't think that S8+ sales will cannibalize the Note 8.

The S pen has high enough demand probably not. Release day will tell all, but with the leaked info it doesn't appear to be a huge improvement over the S8 plus, Samsung might have over done it a little on the S8 plus.

After the note 7 fiasco and the S8 series is such a awesome phone, will the note 8 bring back the note series, or have majority people moved on. I know I am content with the S8 plus, whatever the note brings to the table will be on the S9 series minus the S pen, which I didn't use much anyway. The main reason I went the note route in the past is bigger screen, and that don't sound to be a big difference anymore.

Who knows, maybe future will be S9 and S9 plus with S pen, and drop the note all together.

I'm not a Note person or a fan of Sammy so the pen doesn't interestme.
If I were to get a Sammy I would go with S8 plus. Can't see wasting real estate for a pen.

S8 got FPS on AOD?

What I am saying with the FPS on the back of the S8 you can unlock the phone to the home screen from the AOD screen. A bonus with the FPS on the S8 is the gestures, able. I drop the notification bar down on any screen just be swiping down on the FPS, don't see that as an option with it embedded in front screen.

This seems like a generalization you made based off of how YOU feel about the phone, and not what the actual Note consumer community feels as a whole. And you're very much entitled to your opinion, but I personally have not moved on, and have no desire to.

I, for one, actually used my S Pen (frequently) and enjoyed it's enhanced features, along with it's screen size. And honestly, no matter how many want to argue with the plateau in technology, that it's just going to be a bigger S phone...the experience definitely feels immensely different to me. I switched to this S7 Edge, and I'm still struggling to operate my phone in a manner that I would my Note.

Not to mention some of us are locked in with our phones due to this fiasco, so we couldn't move on if we wanted to unless we bought the phone at retail. Some of us are stuck in that space, and I believe a bunch of us would like to find ways to move to the new Note when it drops.

And furthermore, how can a product kill a product that doesn't even exist on paper for purchase? That's a really....interesting thing to say.
