Did they remove the chat options for text messages for the Samsung Galaxy S9+

My s7 had chat options under the text message app. It allowed you to see if a text was read, delivered (different from read and delivery reports), and if someone was typing a response. I will love this feature, I hope it's not gone and I just don't know where to look. Does anyone know?

Something like that may come back with the "no per-contact notification" fix Samsung is supposed to be coming up with, or they may just wait until RCS incorporates it into direct-client-to-client texting.
