Didn't fully charge battery before initial use.. charged while first turned on

I just got an eris from best yesterday. When it was brought to me the employee had to initially turn it on to set it up which is nothing to sweat about. However, when I got home it slipped my mind to fully charge it immediately while it was still powered off... I simply turned it on and began customizing it, fully charging it while I was messing with it for my first time.

There was all ready partial battery life with its initial start up (it was at about half and green), but with the notoriously bad battery life this thing has i'm a little distressed about further hurting this already crippling this defect.


Does it really matter how you fully charge it before/during first use?

If so what might my options be? Ive also not yet let it drain to complete 0% and have charged it a couple times since.

i did the sme thing you did when i got mine and i dont think it is a problem. i must say it seams like the new update really helpped the battery

I too am a victim of doing the same thing. But after the new ota and draining the battery with some help from forums on here I downloaded some apps to keep track of my battery life. Best thing for you to do is download like taskkiller or something to help kill any running apps not in use. Also keep wifi or anything to drain the battery off.

I would have to agree. The small update has seemed to help my battery life too.
