Difference between Notes?

So, I just noticed under tablets that there are two different Note 10.1 tablets. What is the difference between the Note 10.1 and the Note 10.1 (2014)?

4.3, new spen features, hD display, new smote, my magazine, button layout not taking up space on the screen, speaker location, charger is micro usb, thinner, lighter, etc

We will get upgrades, they won't make our 10.1's the exact equivalent of the new one though. the fun is that after an upgrade, you keep logging on here where everyone shares what new features they've found. I use the flail around and see what happens method of exploration...

Wouldn't you know it. My husband just bought me this one in August. So, once again, I'm already outdated and I haven't even figured out how to use it that much. I have got to find time to spend with it.

That's how it is with tech. The original Note 10.1 is still a great device. Just enjoy your tab and don't worry so much about there being a new model. My gen 1 N7 is still great after all

I just found a major difference in an application I use extensively. The new s note is NOT compatible with the old so I can no longer transfer files between my note 3 and jote 10.1 as I could with the note 2
