Disable notifications on lock screen

For the life of me I cannot figure this out. The reason I'm here is because chat GPT can't even figure out how I can stop notifications from popping up on my lock screen. When I get a text message and my screen is locked it pops up or it shows up as the little icon and all you have to do is push the button to read the text message. It does this for all of the applications even though the phone is secured with a password and fingerprint. That defeats the purpose of locking the phone. This is driving me absolutely insane. Help please.

P.s I've had an Android Central account for years but for some reason I can't seem to find it so I had to create a new one. Thanks

Have you just asked Google in a web search? I don't know what C-GPT has access to compared to Gemini in a regular web search but it may have an inside track just because it is also a Google product.

What Android and UI version are you on?

Did this recently start or has it been this way from the beginning?

I imagine you've cleared several caches but have you cleared the device partition cache? This is the OS and UI cache and can sometimes get corrupted during OS and UI updates, especially if they are bigger updates.

Is it that you can read the short version of the message, or are you saying that you can touch the notification and the full blown whole app opens and displays the message?

What bio metrics are you using? Are you using face recognition? Rather than disable it, if you are, try pointing the phone away from you and touching the notification and then flip it around. Maybe it is automatically unlocking and displaying the notification because it can see you. Actually this is the only way I can imagine this happening.

Are you running all stock? One UI and not Nova or something else?

Something you could test would be to see if this happens in Safe Mode. Many times if you get the same behavior in SM it points to the system software/hardware but if not it can point to an a bad app.

Are you running any apps from sources outside of the Galaxy Store, Play Store or Amazon App Store?

Are you running any Antivirus or Malware apps? This goes back to the issue being caused by a bad app, and these all are bad apps.

That's about all I can think of in the moment. Let us know what you find better advice.

I have the Fold 7 if I try to open a message on lockscreen when is locked and not picking up my Face ID it will ask for PIN to view message. Do you use Face unlock?

Go to settings>notifications>Hide content on lock screen , you will still get the icon notification but you need to unlock to get the details

I've done this several times. I'm using the fold 7 with whatever the newest OS is on Verizon and I'm using my fingerprint sensor just like I did on all of my previous folds

Weird because I'm unable to view anything on my lock screen and if I tap any one of them it will last for the PIN

None of that but I'm going to go and check just to be sure. I minutes away from doing a full factory reset which I was trying not to do

Also try to change the notification style to cards and reboot phone to test
