To root you need the "towelroot apk"... Super simple.. less than 3 minutes start to finish.. Oh yeah, it will not work with Firefox browser (at least for me)
Seriously? Samsung's Galaxy S5 is supposedly one of the top Android phones available and the wireless charging notification requires ROOTING a phone to fix it? What the...
Thanks worked on my rooted Galaxy S3, no more annoying "pucca" sound at night
Used root explorer, I downloaded the file "Charger_Connection.ogg", opened up Audacity and modified the original so that its silent with the same length (.558 seconds),
Thanks to rubdom, the file can be found in "system>media>audio>ui>"
sent back to the phone, renamed the original file to something else, put the modified file in there, changed permissions to original file's (rw-r--r--) and done. Works great
Nope, Rooting is NOT needed:
MacroDroid turns off System Sounds when it starts charging.
end of the noises for me.
MacroDroid does not use enough power to even show up in the power charts.
That is the least of your problems, it is a service.
It monitors for event changes, then performs a macro, and drops back to monitoring again.
I have been using it for years with never a whimper.
