Neither restart worked. I also turned my phone off and on again.
I also realize this forum is for the Note 9 but I have an S9+ (I got here from google). No idea if that affects anything, but it seems like an Android Pie thing so I'm assuming the same should apply.
It doesn't matter note 9 or s9+ same should apply for both.
Then you probably have to wait for update on nova end as its probably not up to date with pie or maybe try joining the nova beta in nova settings and see if they have fixed it .
Hmm, that got me curious and I checked the default launcher (Samsung Experience Home). The nav and status bar both manage to stay with this, but only on home screen. Going into any app still makes them hide.
Anyway, that's what I feared. I think this might be something I have to wait on.
I fixed it: I have the bxActions app, so I went into it and made it so that the Bixby button toggles full screen on and off. So I guess the issue was simply that I was in full screen mode

My note 9 has suddenly started hiding the nav bar and the status bar on everything but the home screen. If I click the dot to lock the nav bar it still disappears.
I have tried restarting phone, booting in safe mode and clearing cache but nothing seems to work. Any help would be appreciated as I would rather not reset the phone if it can be avoided//uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180925/79fa61e1130d46d50df4b53f8df63558.jpg
Don't do hard reset . Here's solution, the problem is in " Good lock" just turn off quick-panel star and you will get everything to normal.
