The main character should have his memory erased thus explaining why O'Donnel not hurting the main character even he though he shot at O'Donnel.
Everyone but the main character knows his memory has been erased.

So implement something like a black out from the blood spatter from the graze. (it fits better as blood was mentioned spraying the MC's face in the original post).

Well I think the obvious route is to follow O'Donnell from where I left off. I had something earlier. Unfortunately I'm running on pure caffeine in order to fix my circadian rhythm for school next week so my mind is rather haywire at the moment.
