No where really, just looking for someone to guide me, Found some guys telling me not to use 1 click and guided me through putting a bunch of zips on my sd card, then using odin to install them or something, but my phone wouldnt connect to odin when in download mode, and then they all had to leave. And now im on the IRC and no one wants to help

Pull out the battery. Plug the phone in .hold vol down button.....make sure drivers are installed from post 1

And now im on the IRC and no one wants to help

Thats exactly what they told me and thats what I did, odin says it connects, than dissconnects right away.

Not to be mean, but you probably won't find someone who is going to volunteer to hold your hand on every step in real time. The information is there for the taking, in this thread and others, it's up to you to put it to good use. The reason these guides get written is so that the process of educating new users isn't arduous (for the educator) each and every time. Pick a guide (like this one,) read it end to end, and if there are things you are unsure about ask them before you start.

Re download the drivers and reinstall

Thats exactly what they told me and thats what I did, odin says it connects, than dissconnects right away.

I might be doing the wrong way of updating them, im not sure, but dont waste your time, go back to work. Its really not important, I dont want to feel like a little kid getting his hand held, Its not that important to me. Its all good man.

OK Con, I'm back and I'm a freakin moron cause I can't do anything right the first time. I followed the instructions right up until the point where it said the phone was going to reboot. I hit any key to continue before the phone rebooted. Now when I try to root, it shows my phone as offline

It shows up an unknown device on my pc in all 3 ports, got nothing on odin yet.
It showed up in odin for a minute, then disconnected a second later. I feel like my cable is ****ed up or something, but I can xfer things from pc to phone fine?

Unplug. Close out of command .reboot phone. Reconnect. And start over

Try redownloading odin.

Also try doing download mode with battery in. you maybe using non powered USB ports

Alright, Ill try that tomorrow or something, I dont really feel like doing it anymore today, Girlfriend keeps texting me and I keep telling her brb and it then it never works, so Ill try again later. Thanks for everything x, I really appreciate it.
