Seems to me the display is the biggest battery hog for me. Today seems like its eating more juice today than yesterday, with all the same settings. Also I've noticed that the auto adjust setting for the display isn't working right. When I'm in a dark setting the display is still bright. It should auto dim because you don't need a lot of display brightness in the dark. Now I know some will say take it off auto and move the brightness selector lower, but then when I'm in a room with a lot of light its difficult to actually see the display. What's others thoughts on this?

The screen is always going to be the biggest draw if you're actually using the device. Auto brightness definitely doesn't help. Just use put the HTC Brightness widget on your home screen and then you can quick toggle the brightness levels.

Remember that the battery usage number for the screen is the result of how low you have it set TIMES how long you use it for DIVIDED by 100% of all battery use

This might take a bit more battery, but if you want to check what the % of battery your display is using go to: Settings > About Phone > Battery > Battery use... this will tell you how much.

Pjnc thanks for the widget tip. I'll try that out for a couple of days nd see how I make out. That deaf makes it easier to adjust the brightness more easily.

Still accepting other members thoughts on this tho!
Also thanks to all the members who take their time out to respond to others troubles

I'm completely confused..Im tech savy, but I think its just the way people word things thats confusing me. I have turned my brightness down on my display, however I've been reading suggestions to turn down your brightness as well as turn off AUTO DIM. Now if I'm not mistaken, you cant turn down the brightness unless you take it off auto correct? Cause that is what I did, but many others are making it seem like theres another place in the phone to goto to adjust these settings. "Turn off auto dim, and set the brightness to 20." I know on blackberry the phone would still auto dim, even with having the brightness turned down, is that the same case here?

Thanks everyone for their help and support not just on this thread, but throughout the forum.
