Android Central Question

Unfortunately, DMG has stopped.

hey, i have a galaxy grand 2 duos. i was using m mobile for many years but yesterday my phone was on charging when the charging reached 100% i removed it from charging and the phone stopped and is not working. i restarted it and then this statement ... unfortunately dmg has stopped .... appeared. it is appearing rapiditly after mili seconds . i had done hard reset but still this error is not gone. Is is possible to fix it???

Well i think i have a solution. Download KingRoot or Mobileuncle Tools and Uninstall the DMG and when it changes to com.dmg.apps. Restart your Phone and Let me know if it worked. Because I did what i said and it worked.

I did download the 2 apps. You just need to uninstall it from the 2 apps and if the 'DMG' change into 'com.dmg.apps' you need to restart your phone so the rapidly 'dmg has stopped' will stop. If you want to know more details just ask some questions. Let me know if my solution did worked or not because i'm using my phone with 'Dmg has stopped' fixed

It's frustrating that when I search the web for "Android DMG," all I find are mentions of .DMG files on Macs, which have nothing to do with this issue.

I don't think anyone has mentioned if they've tried a system cache partition wipe, as previously suggested by hallux. It would really be helpful if people could give that a try. If you don't know how to wipe your cache partition, do a web search for "[your phone] wipe cache partition" or "[your phone] hard reset" and look specifically for steps to get to Recovery Mode. You will usually find an option for Wipe Cache Partition there, alongside Wipe Data.

Another thing to try is to go to Settings>Apps, tap Menu>Show System, then look for any app that has "DMG" in it. It might be something like "com.Android.dmg." Select it, then tap Storage, then Clear Cache/Clear Data.

btw your saying is what i did on May 29 to june 3 until i said to myself that even i got something virus on this phone because of the KingRoot i want to erase this `Dmg Has stopped' then i noticed the optimised on Kingroot and i try to clicked it. When i saw the 3 virus apps that can't erase on my phone at KingRoot. I try to uninstall it when i tapped it. the `DMG' Changed into `com.dmg.apps' and if you see that it changes. Go Reset your phone. If you think that i'm lying. go to settings>developer options> Process Stats> then tap the 3 dots on the top of the right screen. and Tap Duration then tap 1 day and tap show system and Use Uss. try to scroll down untill you see the com.dmg.apps And now i checked on mine and My `com.dmg.apps' is gone idk what happened but i think it because of the Kingroot. Try it and let me know if it worked Pls trust me because i just want to help Thanks :D

This has also been happening to my phone. 2 weeks ago, I just rebooted my phone and when it opened, there it was, "Unfortunately, DMG has stopped. '' Press ok and it'll just pop up again... endlessly. It's weird though. I've been reading similar forums, and the posts were all recent. From 2 weeks ago to yesterday. I wonder what this is?

And by the way, I'll try the suggestions here and update if it works.

Hey Guys!! I have the solution.
Flash your android, probably it is the only solution cause my android was unusable as that alert popped up every millisecond. I couldnot even click an icon on the screen. So installing kingroot on my device was almost impossible.
I had viruses named ... peroa, shell, applists, backup and soon. I donot know their origin, which platform they were designed for but the fact was it was really bad. And one day after a quick reboot it began to show the never ending "DMG has stopped Working.".
Finally after two weeks, i have fixed the issue.

i already fixed my on june 4 dude. and you can even click an icon on the screen dude you have to be fast at it, you can install kingroot by using your charger and put it to your pc/laptop and connect it to your own phone and download your kingroot and fix your phone that's all. it's easy tho
