Do all widgets drain battery? Is there a way to know which widget would drain less than another?...

I need to d/l an airplane mode toggle widget. there are a number of them and i keep hearing widgets drain batteries, any way to tell or make an educated guess as to which ones would drain less?

and why/how would an airplane mode toggle drain a battery? it's not like it's refreshing all the time, but i see in some of the widget comments, "huge battery drain" "drains battery". ?

The widgets that tend to drain battery are the ones that have to refresh data over the web frequently, like weather widgets or news widgets. An airplane toggle widget should hardly use any battery at all.

HA. just edited before i saw that, that very question. as to why would an airplane toggle drain, but in comments people make mention of it. weird, right?

Try Power Toggles. I've never noticed any significant battery drain from that, and it's incredibly powerful and versatile.
