Do I need to flash radios to 4.2.2 prior to flashing 4.2.2 ROM

The subject line is pretty self-explanatory. I'm running a bugless beast rom now, but am thinking about flashing MMuzzy's 4.2.2. I haven't updated my radios ever. Just wondering if I need to.

If it is recommended......should I flash the new radios first and then the 4.2.2 ROM? Thanks in advance.

Radios are not tied to any ROM.

It's correct that radios are generally not tied to the software version you are running.. however it's also worth noting that they can be. We Nexus 4 owners actually had an issue with multiple sensors not responding when people first flashed 4.2.2 ROMs without ever updating the radios. While it's the first such instance I know of issues due to it, it's probably good practice to keep your software and radios on the same version intended.. but at the same time, if you don't update the radios and don't notice any problems then you're probably fine.

I would say update your radios. I had issues when I flashed AOKP build 5 with the FF02/FG02 radios. Went back to build 4... no problems.

Flashed the FK radios from the OTA, and reflashed build 5.... no problems. On build 5 with older radios, just could not hold a data signal for more than a few minutes. With the FK radios, faster handoffs, and a few dBm boosted to my signal.

That's been my personal experience, anyway.
