Do I want this phone or the Galaxy s3?

I think us lte owners may have an update on the way......The one x owners have a slew of neat stuff in this recent update like menu button customization...removal of the menu bar in the bottom of the screen. Oh and multitasking improvements....plus the usual performance boost stuff

My wife just got the SIII...I hate to admit but I feel a bit jealous...I notice that her phone is a great deal snappier than the LTE....ESPN Scorecenter on her phone can open up twice in the time it takes me to open the widget...Facebook is much faster to open...the gallery opens pictures faster as well...never noticed this until I had both phones in my hand side by side...may need to figure out a way to "exchange" my phone...we shall see...

I kind of agree with the previous poster. I went to the Sprint store with my father to help him decide which new phone to get and I may recommend the SG III just because it did seem much snappier. Not to mention Samsung isn't in dire straights in the same way as HTC.

This is something you don't realize till you have them side by side during personal use. I have both and it's hard to deny that the gs3 is a great fast phone.

I like the camera and screen on the evo best but SG3 wins on software. The extra RAM makes things move along but you will notice some (almost none) lag when going back to the home screen. I staid with my evo after considering what i use my phone for the most. Media

I had the same problem. But if your looking to save a few bucks go to best buy and tell them to price match off wireless amazon. I ended up getting my s2 epic touch 4g for only a penny. If you don't mind having a older phone for a while. I made my choice due to coverage of 4g in my area and of course the price of a penny.

my first Android device was an og evo, that phone was amazing, gps was dead reliable and ready to go at a moments notice, htc was always fast with their updates, build quality was amazing! my second (and present) Android device is the Samsung Galaxy Epic Touch, screen is nice, phone is snappy and responsive, gps and location services is absolutely horrendous! build quality of Samsung devices are crap compared to htc devices, and Samsung are lazy updaters to be blunt. that being said Im in the same boat as you, I have to choose b/w the gs3 and the evo lte, my heart tells me go with the gs3, but my gut tells me stay away because of the reasons above.

It is a tough choice. They both have their goods and bads. Best thing to do is go in a store and pay with them for an hour minimum.

Another thing is Samsung replaced their radios, and are very strong now. It is not like the gs2 with crappy radios. The gs3 locks fast on wifi, calls, and GPS.

The Evo lte does have an amazing screen though.

Either way, your going to get a great device.

After talking to a friend about his S3, the radios are indeed much improved. Still no way I would trade EVO LTE for S3.
