Do you agree with the statement that the issue of NFC is overblown?

They come out this year half stepping with this device, in a year that midrange devices have come out as straight beast. 2016 Flagship killer I just shake my head with a big NOOOOOOO! When all the other OEM's flagships are taking serious heat from the midrangers. Slow charging and no NFC which puts it at a disadvantage to even midrangers. NFC in itself is something that is used alot in most advance asian and european countries. It will also start to be used more in the U.S. as apple pushes it and soon google will push it with M. They must didn't pay attention to the phones market this year. Oneplus is not operating in the flagship space it is battling in the midrange spot and it's not going to survive in that realm with this lackluster effort.

Is NFC necessary to be a flagship, it is if every other flagship device from the top OEM's to the Chinese OEM's. As mentioned you can't claim to be a flagship and skimp on features that others have.

You can't be a flagship and have poor support, poor updates, poor product launches help up by gimmicks. If they are a true startup and not funded by a major Chinese conglomerate as rumored then they should have learned enough from last year to actually have product ready.

They have already stated that the US and India are greater than 50% of their market share and yet they offered 30,000 units exclusively to the Chinese market. Sounds to me they are catering to their home crowd. They can do what they want, just don't count on their tactics getting them to #3 in 5 years and leaving Samsung, LG and others in the dust.

I don't know why, but it seems like OnePlus is becoming it's own victim of their own ego.
