Do you guys buy Samsung’s excuse about the battery size?

I came from an S8+ and after installing all my apps and setting my new Note 8 up the same way, I actually notice an improvement in a non scientific way. I keep my eye on the battery percentage habitually and it's just not dropping as fast.

Check out https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Samsung+Galaxy+Note8+Teardown/97071 and see if there was room for a larger battery in this design.
Yes, I believe that Samsung was more interested in upgrading the components on the phone and moving on from the Note 7 recall than concerned about battery capacity.
People act like they were forced to use this design and couldn't fit a bigger battery. They could have designed it however they wanted, or simply made it thicker. They didnt want to. It's really comes down to that simple fact.

I'm satisfied with the battery life I've been getting this past week, so it's kind of a moot point to me.

And what's wrong with the battery they chose if it's safe and people aren't complaining about battery life?

Sounds like they made the right choice.

If you open up a cell phone there really isn't any extra space going unused. I believe a bigger battery would of resulted in a thicker phone.

Exactly!!! It's pointless to continue harping on the size of the battery. It is a BADASS phone no matter how big or small the battery is. I would really like to go back to a removable battery and we all know that isn't going to happen!!

I believe Samsung has a size spec they wanted to meet. In order to fit a battery, all the other components, and the S Pen, the Note 8 had to have a 3300 mAh battery.

It might have had a bigger battery but it also was thicker. (The Note 7)
