Do you think the same Google Play Nexus 6 would work on the 5 major US Carriers?

If you bought an unlocked Nexus 6 from Google Play, do you think you would be able to use it on Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile or U.S. Cellular and switch between them whenever you please? I've checked the specs and it appears that the one on Google Play has all the necessary hardware to work on all 5 of those carriers.

Would that be true if we bought it from the carriers since it's supposed to be the same phone for all?

That is indeed the big question. Hardware is one thing, carriers can easily add custom RILs and block the phone from working on others.

I know that the nexus 5 sold by sprint can not be (yet) brought to it's MVNOs, but the one from Google play can be. And I think the Nexus 5 has the hardware for Verizon but it is not allowed on their network. That is why I asked whether or not the N6 would be.

The prediction right now is one phone for all carriers except Verizon and one for Verizon.

Now if one phone for all, it'll be interesting to know how Verizon will handle it.

Also I like to know if there will be bloatware by the ones sold by carriers and will they be boatloader locked. I wish Google would clarify these things instead of these guessing games.

I'm not sure it will be that easy but, it would be nice. As long as I can buy it unlocked on the Play store I'm happy. I know i won't be going to VZW or Sprint so it won't be an issue for me.

I really hope so, as a Verizon customer that wants to just order the phone from the Play Store. Thing is, the rumor is that there's only two versions of the phone (a US one, and an international one), and if Verizon was going to be problematic about it, I'd imagine Google would've just skipped over them, wouldn't they have? After all, they didn't push to get Verizon to carry the last two Nexus phones; if it was going to be an issue, I'd think Google would've just continued avoiding Verizon.

If its the same version for Verizon, and if the boot loader will be unlocked, that will be a deciding factor between the Nexus and Turbo, because odds are the Turbo will be locked

The other BIG advantage to the 6 (and a deciding factor for me) is the International Coverage (if you ever take your phone out of the country, and want to put in a foreign SIM). The Turbo (as well as the X's) International Coverage is anemic at best. The International Coverage for the 6 is superb, as well as inclusion of LTE Band 12 (which offers superior data coverage inside buildings).

Who predicted that? Fcc tells me one phone will hold all my us bands

as far as ive seen, theres only one us version, and an international version. I guess vzw could always take theirs and do something crazy with it...

That is not the prediction now. You're simply making that up.

The Nexus 5 basically was compatible with Verizon too, doesn't mean Verizon allows it to be use. But I think Google worked it out this time.

This answer makes zero sense whatsoever. Just because Verizon didn't allow the N5 on their network doesn't mean there will be a separate N6 for Verizon. Where are you getting this fabrication?
