Now that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is confirmed to use 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory in China do you think North America will get this version once the unlocked models are released?

I would hate to only see this model released in China plus I'm upset that Samsung is doing this because it shows they can make a higher end model which cost less than $50 compared to the 4GB RAM and 128GB internal memory version. They are only selling this higher-end version in China because there are phones China that also have 6GB of RAM with the same 128GB of internal memory or even MORE with far lower price tags.

I know a lot of people get upset at Apple but at least when buying an iPhone in North America its no different in terms of specs if you buy an iPhone anywhere else in the world. I hope next year they release the Note 8 with high-end specs but for EVERY COUNTRY instead of just China. I'm actually surprised they didn't even release the higher-end version in their home country of South Korea, China is that important I guess.

I think the US (big four) unlocked version will have the same hardware as the US carrier versions.

It's not going to come here at all, no chance. Bad business move. They'd screw over a lot of folks who wanted it, but opted for what they thought was the only choice.

Nope. Chinese manufacturers focus more on specs, perhaps that's why.

Bottom line is that if the 6GB RAM really made a huge difference, they would have offered it here. They have to offer it in China because their product research shows it will be a big issue due to the Le Eco, One Plus, etc. But the reality is likely to be a miniscule difference.
