Do You Turn Off Your Phone Regularly?

I'll leave mine is on all the time I never cut it off only time I cut it off is when I restart it sometimes

Well, I don't understand the need of turning off the phone in any case, unless you're running out of battery in an emergency situation and want to save it for a later day.

For me, keeping the phone in a silent mode is enough.

Also, now there comes an option of Ultra Saving Mode as well for super battery saving.

Since you don't understand the need I'll explain it to you. Phones generally charge faster when they are off.

It is advised to shutdown and restart your phone once in a while to clear all the running background processes and memory leaks that drain the system. You can also manually shut down the processes and apps, but restarting serves the purpose and also clears up the RAM. If you are loking for a portable charger look up Ohming Technology’s Charger M.E.

I almost never turned my phone off when I had iPhone. That's because Apple has very strict policy to allow any app to receive processor cycles while on background (only for special cases and for limited short period of time). However, Android has much more load for background tasks so I turn my Android off when I am not planning to use it for most of the day.

When I go to sleep, my phone goes to sleep.

If someone really needs to get hold of me at 3am, then 1) it had better be really important, and 2) its not going to be via a mobile phone or whatsapp message.

Nope, I have a sleep profile along with do not disturb for at night. When I set my phone on the charger it automatically goes into the sleep profile. In the morning I update apps, check for OS updates, close everything and reboot and it generally runs great all day.

I don't turn my phone off often, but I reboot it almost every other day, especially when it starts to lag more than it should. I should probably do some "spring cleaning" soon.

Good idea! I think most of us are in that boat, as well...

I have my phone set for a scheduled power off every night around the time I fall asleep and scheduled power on to come on just before I usually wake so that it is already booted up.

That is a really good idea! It's not like you'd be worried about missing notifications in that time frame, either.

Some people need to keep their phone on while they sleep in case of emergencies, but I know very few people that would need me in an emergency
