Dock app not showing up on lock screen.

I have the HTC one m8 and the apps in my dock are also supposed to show up on my lock screen. Ever since I got a new messaging app it replaced where that was supposed to be with a little Android guy. Anyone have any ideas? Here's what my lock screen looks like and my messaging app should be where the Android guy is.

Try deleting that icon, as I think it's just a placeholder for your previous messaging app. Then you should be able to drag the icon for the new messaging app into that place.

I'm not sure why Android sometimes leaves that placeholder in place.
