The speaker on my Sensation adds a high pitched staticy sound and is not very loud. I have compared it to a several other phone speakers and it sounds horrible. I'm wondering if this a flaw with my phone or is a Sensation thing. Seems like the only thing not perfect about this phone is the volume issues. It's not very loud through headphones and sometimes phone calls are real quiet. Anyone else experiencing this?

Yes, its not your phone. HTC really fumbled the ball with the speaker system. I don't quite understand it myself. Its absolute garbage but its usable. Seems all HTC phones have lousy speakers but this one definitely ranks right up there as one of the worst unfortunately.

Well it is unfortunate but certainly not a deal breaker. This is still an awesome phone. I'm glad I switched to Tmobile from Sprint. In my area Tmobile has data speeds 100 times faster than Sprint. I never would have been happy with the Evo 3d.

The Evo 3D is an excellent phone however like ya said, consider the network its on. T-Mobile is far superior with their technology.

Unfortunate but glad to hear its not just mine. Coming from the Vibrant theres a night and day difference in sound quality, both from the earpiece and external speakers. I have to put the phone up to my ear when using speakerphone in my truck....

Go the the Market and look for an App named Volume+. I costs $1.60 but it works fantastic. I bought it and put it on my Sensation. The developer recently updated it to work on the HTC S4G and the EVO. :D

Yes, the speaker is kinda crappy. I just upgraded from my old mytouch 3g (haha!!!) and that speaker was 10x better. When in a call, it seemed louder, and when I was downstairs i could hear it ring without even having the volume up all the way. On my sensation i wold have the volume at max and its barely audible when Im downstairs

Seriously! I just picked up Volume+ from the Market per a tip few posts back...IT WORKS!!! On my Sensation 4G it easily increased speaker volume by about 30% or more. Easy to test just install it, set it to max +7 or +8 level and play an MP3 than toggle the app off and on and you will notice it...very nice solution for one of this great phones shortfalls!!!

Awsome, thanx for the tip on volume +, really does make a difference in notification volume. Ill have to check a call on speaker phone in my truck to see if its any better that way as well.....
