I am noticing better speeds on the Nexus S after the update but the problem is that it still drops signal in roaming areas but i am able to force it to roam with roam control. Is kt a programming issue or something? When im in coverage, i never lose signal.

I've never had a phone fully roam. It will always pick up half a bar of Sprint and try to jump back over asap. It just won't do it unless there's no service whatever soever anywhere near you.

before the update, it could not pick up service in my house but afterwards, it does detect a weak sprint signal but it doesn't do much, if anything.

That's how my house is. It will bounce back and forth between sprint and roaming. I have an airave now so this doesn't bother me at home.

It's when I'm at the ladies house I get the same results. But I just connect to her WiFi. Have to stand by the window to send SMS. Will roam then bounce back. Roam control is your friend in these areas. All I know is if Sprint ever said anything to me about my roaming use I would tell them to get better service. I don't know if they make you pay a fee for them cancelling because you roam to much but there is no way in hell I would pay for it. I wouldn't be roaming if you provided me with adequate signal in the areas I'm in.

My house is a dead zone for everything I've had cingular/att and there are verizon phones in my house. None of which got/get service. Verizon does get the best though. The ladies house on the other hand: ATT and Verizon phones get full service in the house.
