Does ICS enable read/write of SD card?

For those lucky wifi Xoom owners...does this valuable feature turn up in your ota ICS update? I sure hope so.

That lets me view the contents of the SD card but I can't write anything to it either on the Xoom or when connected to my PC via USB. I don't really see what good the SD card is since I can't do anything with it.:'(

Something's wrong - I have stock ICS and can copy from Xoom storage to the SD card with File Manager HD and from the PC to the SD over USB (as I could with Honeycomb).

Tell me the exact steps your taking, because I literally just copied two files to my SD card from my Xoom.

Interesting. I can't create with Astro but installed File Manager HD and I can create a folder on the sd card, so that is a great tip. I can't delete it though :'(.

I have had no problems at all with writing using a USB lead though. I guess you have to have the correct connection settings switched on (Settings > Storage > Media device)
