Does it have this?

For those who have one plus 6, is there anything like a secure folder that galaxy phone has? Like a way to lock apps in a folder? Not files but apps.

You can secure apps so that they require a pin or fingerprint to open. Is that what you mean?

Why not just encrypt the phone (including the apps), just curious?

I'm pretty sure the problem with brute-force hashing was fixed around the 6.x timeframe.
There are undoubtedly new/existing issues, there always will be, it's evolving s/w, but the security has gotten iteratively better since then too.

Or are you talking about like like ODog2323 is asking about, I'm pretty sure there are some good (read external reviews) apps that lock this down, similarly to the AndroidPay model.
Third-party apps also have the advantage of having a lower attack profile/surface, mostly, so they're obfuscated a bit, but in a "good way", IMO, as long as you don't convince yourself they're the be-all-end-all of security solutions...

I'm asking if there is a securefolder type of thing. Where you can hide apps and secure it at the same time.

Sort of.
There's a similar mechanism, but last time I checked, their "Secure Box" was more of an obfuscation mechanism though, than an actual "Secure" one (it had either none or loose encryption, mostly just trying to "hide" the data).
This may have changed, recently, it's tricky to find current reviews, and my USB port has a Qi charger in it, so it's a pain to verify, myself ;-]

I don't think it is a secure as secure folder but it has this lockbox where you can move any pictures or files but is not for extra apps

EDIT: sorry I jsut realized you were asking specifically for apps. I don't think it has anything like that

There's a "secure app" mechanism, on the OP6, but I don't think it's actually very secure, or wasn't anyway, the last time I read a review (mostly just moved a hidden folder, or similar, along with app-data).
This may have changed recently though (the implementation), OP does seem to be trying to clean up some of the obfuscation issues they had...
