Does keeping an SD card in the phone(with pictures) use system data?

I have an 8GB Samsung Galaxy Core Prime & only have 13% space left just from system updates. Friend visiting soon & would like to take a lot of pics. Also, what brand & GB card would you recommend?

No having an sd card doesn't take any data. Only if your downloading these pics off the Internet or wherever but it's the exact same data used downloading to your phone and downloading to your sd card. You can also just open your file manager app and move anything you want over to your sd card if you prefer to make more internal storage and use that instead. If you only want an sd card for photos generic cards are just fine for that and rediculously cheaper. Just make sure you buy from a reputable seller like say from ebay where you can see the sellers customer feedback percentage because there are many sd card scams...but a good class 10, real capacity generic micro sd card sounds like it would be perfect for you
