Android Central Question

Did Motorola work with supplying information off other people's phones to law enforcement in the United States?

Highly unlikely without a warrant (assuming they have any usable customer data to begin with).

Probably not from Motorola directly. But if a warrant or court order was issued for information, it would have to be sent to the carrier the phone was used. That's who has and keeps all the information on phone use. Not Motorola.

Well a vague question like this is going to result in both 'yes it does' and 'no it doesn't' answers. Motorola, like all the phone manufacturers who want to sell their products in the U.S., has to follow specified rules and laws to actually be able to sell their stuff. Conversely, there are laws in place that prevent these same corporations from just freely distributing their customer's data in the open market. There's a lot of controversy about just how much of our data is or isn't allowed, and lots of instances where companies keep pushing the limits at our expense. But we all now live immersed in fear-mongering and gaslighting -- since you're apparently targeting Motorola for whatever reason, please post some valid documentation on this matter.
