Does Nova eliminate the tap to wake option on the screen

It did on the g3. Wondering if it does on the g4 as well.

No...however tap to screen-off doesn't work. There is a work around on that one though, I can't remember the name of the power on/off app but some get around it by setting a gesture on that app.

Nova doesn't have control when the screen is off, that's a system function. After you get past the lock screen then you get to the launcher.

Anyway I don't have the G4 yet but nova or any other launcher didn't keep my Nexus 9, Z3 Compact nor my Z2 tablet from working with tap to wake.

Tap to wake is a system feature. It doesn't matter what launcher you're using. Tap to sleep on the status bar is also a system feature. It doesn't matter what app you're in to use it.

Tap to sleep on the HOME screen is, you guessed it, a feature of the home launcher. LG launcher has it enabled and it can be enabled in Nova and other third party launchers via clever use of gestures.

It can be enabled by installing a screen off app like screen off fx from the play store and setting the double tap gesture in Nova to activate the app

Yes, I have tap to turn off working on my phone with Nova Launcher just fine using double tap gesture.

If you are using Nova, You should be able to double tap the notification bar which makes it go to sleep.
