Does pentile make the screen not truly HD?

Okay, for those of you who don't think he's a troll and think he's not actively trying to hate this phone... this just proves it. That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever read/heard.

Or perhaps you have been bested and cannot come up with a rebuttal, and have thus resorted to ad hominem attacks.

No no no.... You all are missing the point...

The Rezound is good for vampires. According to poopai...

I agree with you, but I dont agree with the limits. I can easily tell the difference between 30 and 60fps for example. Like even at a glance. (Example online - 15 FPS vs. 30 FPS vs. 60 FPS - A Visual Comparison). My sister got one of those new TVs that has an insanely high frame rate (like 100+), and it is an example of how more is not always better. It makes movies look like soap operas.

Yeah, I agree with this. I doubt almost anyone would be able to tell the difference.

Upps. My examplification of 30fps was not accurate. :D

And it shouldn't be a surprise considering pentile screens have less subpixels.

Fewer.

Since we have people giving you props for grammar and sentence structure, figured I might as well support the one thing you have going for you so I'm not just trolling your trolling.

"Fewer" would have been correct in the last grammatical generation (which we are beginning to leave), but "less" will be correct in the next generation, a thing which the statistics of formal and informal use will tell us; and if one wishes to always be on the cusp of linguistic prowess, one must venture to acclimate himself to the future before it arrives.

This is just a compromise for a world in which there is no unity. We must strive for a world where all would make the same choices, so that the world will be at peace. If people can't see the pixels they can always get reading glasses, and that will help them follow the same path as those who can.

Well, I guess we should all just let you decide which one phone we're all going to use. While you're choosing, go ahead and decide for the rest of us which one car we'll all drive and what single item of food we should all eat.

I don't know where you live, but in America, we have already fought communism and elected to retain our right to individual choices. There are other countries where you can find unity more favored. So choose the phone that you want to have, and we'll all choose ours.

I think prescriptive vs. descriptive was the argument you were angling for, rather than formal vs. informal, but I'll let that slide. However, I'd note that the use of flowery language on a down-to-earth tech forum kind of undermines your entire argument. (Not that it really has a leg to stand on anyway.)

Wait, I'm not even taking my own advice about feeding trolls, why am I still respon-- .... damn, you're good....

Prescriptive and descriptive use are only determining factors in the allowance of overall syntax and rhythm rather than the placement and use of words at a specific point in a grammatical structure.

And as to flowery language, it is necessary in order to enlighten those so down to Earth as to not see the magnificent sky.

Let a man choose his own phone, let a man be individual and free, and then watch as he builds a castle which none else may enter, even as the Hell hounds come running for the flesh of those scratching at his door.

In my country, before your American puppets were put into our Kremlin, the children had to look to your streets to be taught the meaning of poverty. And why? Because through unity the wound of one was the wound of all. There was not a case of a man who would so indulge his vanity as to "individually choose" a comfort over his starving brother's life. No, he felt his brother's pain as his own, and helped him, and all others followed suit. But what is the case in your capitalist kingdom? I will tell you, that every man is a murderer, that every man indulges himself as another starving child dies which he could have saved. And of this you are proud? And of this you wish to be left to in peace? No. I will not let horrors unfold before my eyes as you would. First I will save souls from a phone, and then from death.

It is only through unity that man's eternal struggle will end, and he will finally, as Karl Marx vigilantly proclaimed, throw off the chains and pluck the living flower.

Now can we get back to how awesome this screen is? I find it to look great while watching HD videos or looking at high Res photos.

I don't know. Is it just me, but I jost got my phone and for some reason...if I was looking at something on the screen for a long time, I can see that image burnt in the screen for a few sec. Should I take it back and get a new one?

If it goes away quickly you should be fine. How long are you looking at something and then what screen are you going to that you still see it. I never noticed this but will look at mine more closely tonight.

I notice this on the dialer when the screen brightness is turned down to its lowest setting. Lasts about a second or two.

I m pretty sure limit for human eye is 60fps, thats what all monitors and tv had before.
I have 2 magnifier at work, 1 is x8, the other is x270, its hard to see any subpixel on x8, when i tested my GNex at work. So wether its pentile or RGB, it wont matter much.

The screen is awesome. Best screen on android. For its size, its truly something great for watching movies. But the text isn't as sharp as the IP4. Not that I'm complaining.

But for android, this is as good as it gets. I don't notice the pentile either.
