Does Roam Control work?

I am considering the Photon and one app that I really need to work is Roam Control, where you can force the phone to roam if needed. There are a couple of places that I am regularly at that have poor Sprint signal so I force roaming. Has anyone tried this app?

you don't need that app. simply do this:

menu>settings>wireless & networks>mobile networks>CDMA Roaming settings> then just check all 4 boxes.

before i did this, i got NO service where i work, now i get FULL 3G serivce at work. Yes it WILL and does run your battery quicker while it's in roam, but at least you can use your phone. I had to do this on my photon, nexus s 4g, and evo 4g.

I had the app from when I had my Nexus S 4g.

It says it works (you have to be rooted). I dont think it does though. It takes about 3 minutes for the data portion to come back after I turn on RC and then it says 3g which I don't believe is possible. Is it because its a world phone or is it just switching back to Sprint's network after the attempts... thats what I want to know. I looked online and it doesnt show any 3g roaming though... I am going to leave roaming on for a few hours today as I stream pandora. I want to see what it does.

yes, it does roam in 3g. it works great for me while in roam, just kills the battery!
