Does Samsung Messages also work on the tablet or just on the phone?

I can't find the Samsung Messages app for tablets.
What am I doing wrong?

Mine was installed by default on my Tab S7+ and on my S10+, at least I think it was.

The Messages app was installed on mine as well. You might need to get it from the Galaxy app store rather than the Play Store...

Can someone show me what the app icon looks like? I can't find Samsung Messages in either app store. I have both devices on the same Samsung account. I don't get it

So i don't know:
No messaging app came preloaded in my tablet.
I found a messaging app in the Galaxy store with an icon that looks similar to the one on my phone but once i installed it it said it wasn't optimized for my tablet and couldn't be configured to send or receive messages.
I can't get to a store until i test negative and i haven't gotten my referral for that yet (don't you just love California)
So now I'm wondering if I got a goofy tablet?

So it wasn't preloaded on mine. I found it via sammobile but the latest version offered is 2 years old and it won't let me download it.
I don't get it.
But if I was sold a lemon and I have to March myself in Verizon in my condition, there's going to be hell to pay.
I am not amused.

What tablet do you have? A S7 or S7+? Is it one that needs a data plan or is it a wifi only? VZW does not play nice with the Samsung messaging app. You will need to use Verizon's messenger + to link with your phone.

Well, I decided to do a factory reset. There must be something stuck in there because it's taking forever. I'm hoping it'll bring back the app, that maybe I uninstalled it by mistake?

I have a Verizon S7 5G. So I did what you said, I tried enabling the Verizon messaging app, and now it is repeatedly sending me different QR codes to scan, which I do, and nothing happens.
Since I'm doing great with my phone I think I'm going to sell the tablet since I am past the return or exchange date, my brain is too messed up to handle this.
It sucks, I really love the tablet but this is nonsense, I give up.
I am not good with tech and this is too much. It's one of the reasons I had chosen Apple originally. I'm really not cut out for this. I'll keep the phone, though.

I ended up setting up Verizon messaging. Maybe its because its a Verizon tablet *
Anyway its not perfect but it'll do.

Whoa you guys its perfect now!!
after spending the night plugged in with wifi on, my phone and tablet decided to communicate and now I have perfect continuity between devices, including messaging, im so stoked.
