Yeah for the features it provides like water, dust resistant and the improved touch but there is no changed in its display quality that much and also its more weighted than s4 and also yeah for its looks, in over all it is value worth

S5 may not be the "best" phone, but it's not as bad as the S6 that replaced it. No SD car, I can live with. No removable battery... well... my S6 can't last more than 7 to 8 hours(compared to about 10 to 11 hours on the S5, with the same kind of usage). The lack of water resistance is also scary, compared to my S5.

Basically, I take my S5 when I travel or go to the beach or pool. The S6 pretty much stays with me in the office or in the car(where the AC or DC charger is always plugged in)

For the camera and battery it met my expectations. I had a pretty grainy camera on my old galaxy nexus and the poor thing drained battery if you looked at it funny. Now I can go a couple days without needing to charge and the camera has replaced a point and shoot I bought back in 2011.

Exceeding my expectations has been the light theme throughout the settings of the phone and in the dialer. I was disappointed at first to learn US versions did not have a dark theme because I liked the look and wanted to preserve even more power. But I found where it's very useful: power save mode. I use this frequently and because of the light theme I can still navigate while preserving power.

So much whingeing and whining here. I absolutely love my S5. I do wish I held out for a bit longer because I would have loved the Note 4 even more, but I do love my S5. I don't give a damn about the "cheap" plastic. I wish all phones had plastic backs. It makes the phone light, makes the phone able to take a knock and doesn't block signals.

My one minor negative is the poor audio quality of the speakers. My one genuine gripe is that I bought the 16GB version not realizing that the operating system, TouchWiz and bloat take up most of that to begin with. If I knew then I would have gotten the 32 GB version. The SD does not always help because there's lots of apps that can't be moved to it.

But I also bought the genuine wireless charging back and charging pad which works a treat and charges surprisingly quickly. But a small AC fan is a must I feel when charging wirelessly as it gets too hot. I think the fan helps the charging speed as it cools the phone down significantly to the point where I feel the back of the phone and can only barely detect any heat.
