Does the Moto G have its own built-in task manager app from Motorola?

I couldn't find it anywhere... but then again, it's my first day playing with the Moto G.

However, I did find this page that mentioned "Motorola Task Manager"
https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/61069

My previous phones have all been Samsung phones(Galaxy Nexus, Note 2, Note 3)
and they all have built-in task manger from Samsung...

If not, I guess I'll just find a random task manager app from the Play Store.

Thanks!

May I ask what you want to do with the task manager?

Signed, XenonRom, Nexus 5 and AC Forums App

The main reason to use a task manager is if your battery is running down too quickly, or the phone is lagging excessively, and you're trying to troubleshoot by killing an app. But I would recommend against routinely killing apps, because if you're doing so for apps that are running normally, most of them will just open again automatically. Keep in mind that Android likes to keep RAM reasonably filled in order to facilitate quick app opening and switching (see this article). Killing apps and then having them restart automatically can actually end up causing more battery drain than if you left them alone.

Task Managers are not at all needed anymore, in fact I don't think they ever we're.

Don't worry too much about the apps consuming your RAM, Android is a smart OS and it terminates applications and clears the RAM automatically when you need it for something else.

Your task manager will probably repetitively close applications, that will later resume their operation and this constant killing and resuming may affect your performance/battery negatively.

If you want to close your apps, don't use a task manager. Just use the multitasking that Android has built in. 😉
