Does the Moto Z have Quick Charge 2.0/3.0 support?

Re: Does the Moto Z have Quick Charge 2.0 / 3.0 support?

That info is not correct... I purchased 5 cables through amazon and in addition 10 of the adapters.. none of them worked with my phone but they all worked with my gf's S8.. the post said it was a type C and advertising for a Nexus... So always double check I've found its a hit it miss. Even if u go expensive or cheap

Can you list out the ones that didn't work for you?

Just to clear things up, The Moto Z line doesn't use any variation of Qualcomm's QuickCharge, it uses the USB Power Delivery 2.0 spec, which was introduced with USB 3.1 and USB-C concurrently. The two steppings of power that the Moto Z line uses are 15W on the 5V line and 27W on the 9V line.

tgambitg, do you have any info about Moto Z²? I got the info that Moto Z² supports both Power Delivery 2.0 and Quick Charge 3.0? Is this correct?

Sounds like a good question for the Moto Z2 forum section, this being the section for the first gen Z Force.

The Anker A2010111 triggers the Turbo Charging text and works well for $16.

Old topic, but was searching and came across this. I purchased a "Just Wireless" brand 2 port Home charger (USB Port & USB-C port) at Target for $29.99. 17 watt/3.4 amp. Includes 6ft USB-C (That is USB-A to C). Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 specified. Noted on package as compatible with "Motorola" among other brands (Samsung, LG, etc.). My Moto Z2 Force indicates "TurboPower connected" and "Charging Moto Mod" (moto mod battery attached) at the same time when charging the phone with the included cable. This is to confirm that in this instance, a 3rd party USB-A to C cable/charger worked to turbo charge a Moto Z (the OEM cable also performed the same).
