Does the new Galaxy S5's exterior look cheap and tacky?

People didn't complain about the Nexus 5, Moto X, or LG G2 being plastic. All those phones are better than the HTC One or iPhone 5/5S, which happen to be metal.

Some of them have faster processors. Better cameras. Larger batteries. Quicker updates. Take your pick. Not that the One sucks, because it doesn't, but I'd take any of those 3 over the One.

I dont understand why people are ******** so much; the LG G2 has a very plasticky design. Its just hard plastic that's a fingerprint magnet. If the S5 is anything like the Note 3 (great feel in hand, the metalic trim does feel like metal), then it should be fine. You guys should wait till you actually hold the phone in hand.

Oh don't worry, the people upset about how the back of the phone looks will probably be the same ones posting in cases threads soon lol. It's not that important, I even put cases on the most good looking phones to keep away scratches and scuffs for resale

i'd go for a clear shell or crystal case this time; it would be nice to show off the gold or blue color. GSMArena is saying the US will only get white and black; if thats true, really lame. Why would the US get left out on the colors?

I think it looks pretty damn nice from the photos I've seen. Samsung addressed the slimy feeling, which to me was the whole issue with their plastic. Now to get Moto to do the same with the next Droids, and LG to not release a G2 successor with that nasty slippery mess back there.

I think it looks pretty damn nice from the photos I've seen. Samsung addressed the slimy feeling, which to me was the whole issue with their plastic. Now to get Moto to do the same with the next Droids, and LG to not release a G2 successor with that nasty slippery mess back there.

I like it as well but I also don't have an S4. I can see why they would have that incremental feeling.

It looks like a ballistic case imo.
They need an all metal version.

S4 and S3 feel so cheap in hand.
I agree S5 has a better quality look like the note3.

Does the iPhone 5C look CHEAP & TACKY? My answer is yes. iPhone 1-3 were plastic and oh how the CrApple fans quickly forget about the plastic crap.
