Does the nexus 5 really have a lot of issues?

Why would their podcasts be different from their articles?
..if you are biased in favor of the One.
This is my battery chart from yesterday:
19 hours is average now? Thats pretty good for "average".
Not just me. Your are projecting your opinion as if it is common, or even objective fact. I am not seeing that from the evidence you have provided so far.
Again, listen to the podcasts. I own the Nexus 5; I don't own the One. How would I be biased? It's called being objective. You can post screen caps all you want, but the battery is average. I'm guessing you were on WiFi all day and didn't bother to post the screen-on time because that has a whole lot to do with it. I got 4 hours on screen time yesterday, but all on WiFi and the phone lasted 13 hours. Is that bad? Not at all. Is it great? Nope. It's average for phones like these nowadays.
As far as the opinion of the X/One over the Nexus 5, it's actually pretty common. It's not some undisputed fact, but if you're objective about what makes a good phone and you've actually owned/used all 3 (I have), you'd probably agree. You think the Nexus 5 is the be-all end-all and you're entitled to your opinion. I just don't agree with it whatsoever.
What are they going to tell me that Android Central's articles do not? You give me sources for your opinion and then waffle when your own sources don't say what you want them to say.

You're guessing wrong. I was on LTE all day. I almost never use wifi...wifi has never been great on the Nexus.

I told you to listen to the podcasts from the beginning. I'm not "waffling" on anything. They go a little more in-depth on the issue, specifically with the Moto X. Judging by your reactions to this, it's probably best you don't listen to them. I don't think you'd handle it too well.
WiFi has never been great on the Nexus...got it. Worked just fine on my Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, and Nexus 5.
I've owned all 3 devices. I currently have 2 of them (X and 5). Liking another phone over another that I own isn't being objective? I'm sorry that I don't just look at a spec sheet and think a phone is better because it has a newer CPU and higher resolution screen.
I don't really care about your battery screens. We own the same phone and the battery is average. End of story.
We can keep going like this for as long as you want, I guess. Probably until the Moto X and HTC One get KitKat and then this becomes an even more compelling situation.
Most phone can last more than 2 days if you don't use it. Your number really has no meaning unless you provide info on screen on time, brightness.
Is anyone else experiencing deep sleep issues? I am not rooted, running stock 4.4. Any apps causing this? Second time in two days.

Then he should listen to Clevin and post his screen-on time and probably his voice calls, too. Otherwise all we have to go on is he had his phone on for 19 hours.

Do any of the people who whine about ad nauseam the lack of removable battery or SD storage really expect it to change or does it simply make you feel better to act as a canker sore of the forum?

I can say that the brief time I had my nexus 5, I really didn't find any big issues besides a loose or wobbling power button, which many devices have such and my determination on returning the N5 was mostly out of buyers remorse with a combination of not overspending my already filled credit cards.
The Nexus 5 is a great device and for the price it sells, it can not get any better. The camera issue many people are mentioning I'm sure could be fixed with a minor software patch and then it'll work as intended.
Ask your selves, where can you get such a great device with so much embedded technology, like wireless charging, NFC, world-wide LTE and much more for a starter price of $350? Apple?

I don't expect it to change. I don't mind being a "canker sore" upon the (bottom of, hehehe) the forum if it means Googs knows I'm not happy about it. I doubt I'd buy a Nexus 6, because of no SD and removable battery. I doubt they care, but they may as well know.
There are two reasons I think they omit the features. One reason is to keep people coming back for the next model.
The second reason is paradoxical in light of the first. Google seems to want people to move away from an ownership paradigm. (Unless of course its ownership of successive Nexus devices.)
I grew up owning physical media for music and movies. Vinyl, tape, CDs, DVDs, etc. I never got to the point of owning an iPod or such, though. That's where my yield to progress stopped. But I no longer have my physical media in my living space. So I satisfy my need to keep stuff with me by putting it on hard drives and SD. Google doesn't want me to keep stuff on SD. Google wants me to use cloud streaming (on slower than dial up speeds). Why? Is it better for the environment? Idk. Why does the president want everyone to shut up and obey *him*? I'm sure he just thinks it's for our own good. Just like Google.

For what I do with my phone, I have absolutely no issues with the N5. It is hands down, the best device I've ever owned...fastest (I get over 20 mbs download speed for $30 a month), best screen, best battery life (I have 50% left every night when I go to bed), and best camera.
I haven't purchased yet because I like to see real world usage instead of a blog's 5 minute review because they got it up "first".
To disregard half of the threads in the N5 sub-forums which in fact are problematic oriented is ignorant.
There are issues with the phone. A lot of them it appears. While certain ones are few and far between, the fact remains it is a possibility.
With that said, there's no point in arguing back and forth on if the n5 does or does not have issues compared to someone else.
One can only post their experiences.
When taking into account all of the different experiences, it does help someone like me decide what I can and cannot accept as an "issue".
So I say thank you for ones posting honest and truthful experiences.
And yes please post SoT if you are going to post a battery usage...

I buy a new phone once a year, usually the latest Nexus. Every one I've bought worked great...the camera, the battery, the reception...everything. If you go to any phone's forum that was just released, you'll always be inundated with problematic threads. That's because a forum is where people go when they have problems, so there are more of them that show up. I believe most of these problems are user issues, created by people that try to download every free app available and those apps create conflicts, particularly on a phone such as a Nexus that is running the latest, brand new OS. For me, the only issue I had is SetCPU causing constant reboots. If I was an 1diot, and could not understand that after loading this app, my reboots began, then I would walk away thinking this phone is crap and I need to RMA it. But removing the app, which I'm OK with (because I understand that I'm running the cutting edge of OS's) got my phone back to being smooth and reliable. Do you really think that all these people you see (in any phone's forum) that are on their 5th or 6th, or 9th RMA are really that unlucky? If someone wants to install piece of crap apps from China that let you download free music, or display today's bodacious babe, or install 3 different apps that control bluetooth or or notifications, you're likely to have problems with your phone that have nothing to do with the phone itself.
