Does the Touchwiz update lock your bootloader?

I just heard that some people are reporting the "unlocked" icon from their startup sequence has gone missing after performing the Touchwiz update. Can anyone confirm if it locks the device?

Nobody? I'm on the fence about rooting but I'd like to know if it's still possible given I do the update first :(

After the update my Tab no longer displays the open lock when it starts up.

Thanks Shiny. I'm toying with the idea that they just removed it and that it's still unlocked, but there's no way for me to know for sure.

Regardless, a locked bootloader Tab can still have CWM flashed and be rooted, so I don't see the difference

It's clearly night and day. But it's more to see whether they locked it for no reason, if anything. An unnecessary hurdle especially considering that they openly support CM on phones, why they'd all of a sudden lock the bootloader on a Tab seems kind of strange.

Unless, it isn't locked and they just removed the picture.

Mine is locked, and and it no longer shows either. I think they just removed it from the splash screen.
