Does Verizon charge termination fees on Edge?

Trying to determine nitty gritty details of Edge plan.
We do not have any lines with UDP. Are on MORE everything family plan.
Just hoping to keep our options open and be aware of the details:

1. If you purchase new phone on Verizon Edge plan, can Verizon charge you termination fee should you decide to switch carriers?

2. Can you prepay for your phone before the 2 yrs. are up (say, if you want to sell the phone)? Are there any prepayment fees?

Context: My daughter needs a new phone and asked for iphone 6 for her birthday. She is eligible for updgrade.

I need to disconnect a line of service that has an active Edge Agreement. What are my options?

Your options depend on the type of device. Once the originating line of service is canceled, an Edge Up upgrade cannot be done.

For smartphones or basic phones:

If other active lines remain on the account, you'll continue to be billed monthly for the amount of your Edge Agreement until the agreement is complete or you choose to pay off the remaining balance.

If there are no remaining active lines, the remaining balance of your Edge Agreement will be due in full on your next bill.

For tablets:

The line of service will be disconnected and the remaining balance of your Edge Agreement will be due in full on your next bill.

Basically the termination fee is you paying off the balance of the device.

2. Can I pay more than my scheduled monthly Verizon Edge installment?
No. The only exceptions to making additional payments are:

To pay off 100% of your Verizon Edge Agreement balance.

For customers on Edge Agreements prior to 5/31/15, you may make the required payment to complete an Edge Up upgrade.
