Done with Google phones

I bet most people here viciously assume things that are either implausible or downright mockingly false. I've had several iPhones, and Windows Phones as well as a blackberry. The only phone I've ever had flat out crash and burn, was the Pixel 2.

It wasn't rooted and it was a VZW model I bought unlocked from Target. I was the only owner and it lasted three months. I'm sorry my experience with Google products differs from the positive narrative being established here daily, but it's the truth.

A sample of one does not establish a trend. I'm sorry you had trouble with your Pixel 2. I agree that a warranty replacement would have been a good choice - if just to sell to recoup your losses. In the end it's your phone and your choices what to do with it - but posting like this in a phone fanatics forum is pretty likely to get a strong response.

Agreed. Forums are meant to help resolve issues, but occasionally you have these types were someone just wants to shout from the mountaintop how they feel so displeased when they could have easily resolved the issue if they took a little time to do so. I guess shouting displeasure is the easier and lazier approach.

I wouldn't say it's lazy, just the product of frustration. Sometimes you just their your hands up and look elsewhere. It happens.

I had hiccup with every phone but never generalized my opinion about a company for that. It can be because of the app you installed, actions you performed or whatever that should have caused the issue. Also, remember it's made by man in the end, God made products like us have so many issues :)...oops don't want to be philosophical though. Take it easy and stop generalizing your decisions based on one trivial experience. In the end you are the one who will miss future phones from google. Google doesn't lose much losing you as customer. By the way at this time am a Note fan.

Well I believe this thread is done. The OP is gone and I don't want to make it seem like we are beating a dead horse.

Enjoy w/e phone you go with OP. I always go by the motto ... Buy what you love, love what you buy :).
