Double text displayed

hey everyone! Recently I purchased a Samsung Gear s2 and when I get text messages they comes in displayed twice. Basically it has the message a line then the message again. I will carry the BlackBerry Priv on Verizon and use Verizon messages App. The main reason I use Verizon messages is for the wifi texting since inside my job service can be spotty. While I still get my messages it becomes rather annoying seeing double the message.

Any suggestions are welcomed. Thank you!

Curious if it's just in the notification preview of the message or actually in the message itself when you click on it?

Do you have notifications on for both regular messages and verizon messages?
