downgrade question

i went from 2.1 (with root) and flashed the 2.2 base rom from rom manager.
and then installed the 2.3.15 leak
I checked and found out my bootloader was 30.01
so i think the 2.2 base upgraded it.

can i no longer sbf back to 2.1?
what exactly is it that bricks you? i.e. what is rule about flashing back.
I've read people going from 2.2. to 2.1 with the 2.1 sbf, if it will brick, how are they doing that?

you can go back to 2.1 w/ the original sbf if your bootloader is the original version (the number i can't remember right now)

if you have the bootloader that comes with the OTA 2.2, then there's no way to go back to 2.1.

where did you go to see what version of the bootloader you had?

i just sbf'd to 2.1 and went from the first leak and then .15, and now i'm curious to see what version i have.

press camera button, down volume and power button.. will take you into boot loader
