Hello. This isn't my first account, but I lost the email address for my previous, so anyway, I have a question. Occasionally, I notice a file in my download folder called downloadfile.bin. What is this? Where is it coming from? I have only downloaded apps from the Play Store, and they were all reputable.

No way to tell, since the name doesn't say much - it could be from a virus, Trojan, adware or other malware. Almost all apps in the Play Store are clean - but with hundreds of thousands, a bad one slips through once in a while.

Here is my list of apps that were not preinstalled:
Antutu
Hearthstone
Avast
Goat Simulator
Fruit Ninja
Plants vs. Zombies 2
Wikihow
Anomaly Defenders
Riptide GP2
Bard's Tale
Leo's Fortune
Rayman Jungle Run
Castle of Illusion
All from reputable devs.

Avast says I'm clean after scanning.
