Downloading youtube videos

I had previously downloaded Better Tube/V browser to download youtube videos. The app makers now say that they've been forced to eliminate that functionality for youtube videos. I'm sure this is what google wants, but I really dont give a rat's @$$ what google wants. Are they turning into crapple? Anyone know of a way to download youtube videos onto my tablet that doesn't involve rooting? I suppose I'd root if I had to but if rather avoid it.

It's a hassle but not much of one... but I just use firefox on a windows laptop and use the "DownloadHelper" add-on... then just drag them over the my tab.

Well, that would actually be a major hassle. I have given Windows the heave-ho. Surely there's a way to do this...
