DROID 2.1 Update thread.

So if I read correctly these problems are associated with launcher 2? NOT HelixLauncher2? I was thinking about unrooting my Droid and doing the 2.1 update and using helix launcher 2 for a bit. But am on Droidmod at the moment and dont really have any complaints.
All launcher 2's don't work with the new launcher 2. Cyanogen built one that does and comes stock with Koush's rom.
Cyanogen also fixed HelixLauncher2. Ruqqq is rebuilding it with the fixes to render scripts.

Thanks for the help guys. I actually did the factory reset and i still have the same problem so now im just gonna head to verizon and get a new droid. Thanks again
I like it and it does take a few seconds at first but then is speedy after that. I just haven't figured out how to make it send without actually hitting the send button. Is there a way to do it?
lol..no thats a terrible idea..It still hasn't been updated for droid 2.1, just use helix1
Yeah, I have the ClockWorkMod Launcher but it would be better if it had 7 homescreens. I hope HelixLauncher 2 would update Droid 2.1.....really soon!
I don't know if I'm misunderstanding that statement, but its possible to set 7 homescreens with Helix1

I just noticed that. Looks pretty sweet. Wish I could combine both that one and HelixLauncher, thatd be heaven 
It should be fixed soon and should work on root and unroot 2.1 droids.

7 screens, hiden app names, shortcuts, speedier, themeable...ect. I think we all miss it.
My understanding is that Helix Launcher 2 is only for the Nexus1. Helix Launcher works perfectly well with Droid 2.1. I'm running it, and have only had one force close in a week, and that was when I had the screen rotated, went to close a folder and turned the Droid into portrait mode while the folder was closing. I hit the restart button, and Helix Launcher went right back into my home screen without a problem.
We have been running it on rooted droids for months. It is/was for 2.1 ASOP built roms. It will be for any rom (stock/root) soon.
I have a question about the 2.1 update. The answer is probably in here somewhere but I just don't have time to read through 100pgs. Last night I received a system update that took about 3mins or so to complete. Now on my on my firmware version it says 2.1-update1. Are there more updates to come or is this it? I do not notice any changes with the operating of the phone at all. I hope this is isn't it.
That is the first update to 2.1. There might be more down the road.
Only major changes are in the gallery, music player,drivers, radio, browser, home and wallpapers.
