I tried a bunch of cases from Verizon and Best Buy and never really found a case that went really well with the phone. I think for the first time in over 3 years, Im gonna go naked with this phone.

I finally received the seidio innocase and holster for the d2 and I have to say it is the best case for it. It's sleek, not too thin, not too thick, just perfect. It even has an opening for the noise reduction mic on the back which is something the other cases I've tried doesn't have. It has the soft touch feel so it feels really nice. It fits on the phone very snuggly too. It doesn't feel like it is too tight (like the Verizon case) or too loose (like the rocketfish case from best buy). I feel like if I drop the phone the case will not pop out (although I have not yet dropped it since I've gotten it) I highly recommend.
I also got the holster which is much better than the Verizon one. The phone can actually go in face in or face out and it has a clip to secure the phone in place and you push it up to remove the phone. I like this better than Verizon's holster because you would have to slide it out and it was very cumbersome to do because it is so tight. the clip is strategically placed so you still have access to the headphone jack and power button. It is a little harder to remove from the holster if it is faced out but not really a big deal.
So what are you waiting for? Order it now! Lol. Trust me; you won't regret it

I have only one real complaint on the case. I use the desk top charger. With the back part on the phone it will not fit into the charger. I would love to find a case with holster (similar to this one) that will fit into the charger.

Good question, where is Otterbox on their cases. Amazon had them listed as mid to late October last month, now its mid to late November. I am hoping it comes out soon.

Has anyone tried the Seidio case with the Droid2 desktop charger? On Amazon, some of the reviews claim that dock works with a case on as long as you remove the insert in the dock.

WRONG!!! I have bought 3 cases and none of them work. I did find one at Best Buy, that works but the speaker cutout was only in the center and the sound gets muffled.
ishore why not just mod the sedio case by cutting the speaker slot to the right size if sound is muffled?
He's not talking about seidio's case; he is talking about the rocketfish case from best buy. Seidio's case has the correct size for the speaker.
Hi Oaks486! To answer your question about the compatibility of the D2 with the original Droid, it is that the D2 will not fit with our original Droid cases. We designed a new model to fit more precisely with the D2.
Also, when the Seidio Surface case is on the phone it will fit with the desktop cradle. Our Surface case and extended battery are both designed to fit with the cradle. i have the clear snap on case from verizon. Not bad. Scared its gonna loosen my sliding though so i've decided to go with nothing. Got my zagg on there though

I have been on the hunt for a case that would fit the MM Charger without taking off the back every time I wanted to put it in the charger. Well UPS had arrived and delivered a new Seidio Innocase Surface.
I just tried it and it fits like a glove and into the MM Charger it went with no hitch. Remember to take out the tab if you have been using it w/o any cover.
Oh yes, bought it right here at Android Central.

Just bought the Seido case for My D2G. Looking forward to getting it. Worried about it fitting in the docking station, but based on above comments it looks like it'll be okay.

Got the Seidio cover today. It's nice overall. I can confirm, it does fit in the Droid2 docking station.
Pros: It feels really nice to touch. The dimensions are near perfect on it in relation to the microphones and speaker. The standard cover blocked the extra noise canceling mic on the back, which annoyed me to no end.
Cons: The back plate isn't 100% snug. Nothing to bad, but it does shift a little bit. Also, on the front, there is a slight lip that makes pressing the home buttons a little unnatural.
Again, nothing that would persuade against buying, but just an FYI to forum. It is definitely nicer than the $10 plastic cases available from Verizon. Hard to say if it is worth the 2.5X premium, but if you want a premium case for your phone, this case works nicely.

I see the Otterbox Case is available too. Has anyone tried that? I wonder what the diff is between that and the Seidio, which seems to get high marks from everyone so far?

I love my Monaco vertical leather holster with a slim belt clip. It is a very nice real leather pouch.

I had to return another Monaco vertical leather holster with a rotating slim belt clip. Also a very nice real leather pouch, however D2 won't fit inside. It is missadvertised while the holster is clearly labeled on the cover for I-phone only. I asked the company to remove Droid from the listing, but I see it is still listed in there. I will never buy anything from that company again.
