Wow...guess I lucked out in having the day off already. Although to be honest I don't think I would call off just for a phone. If I had to work I would order it online or see if they still had some once I got off of work. It is just a phone afterall.

Just held a dummy model....it's a lot thinner that I thought it would be from the videos. There's no way I'm passing up this phone now.
Haha, no worries, I got like 3 weeks of sick time so I'll be ok. I'm actually fairly sick today but I toughed it out so I wouldn't be too far behind on my work and I can take the day off and get my Bionic!

Agreed, but it's a great excuse to blow off work for a day! I'll call it a mental health/phone playing day. lol
True enough. Just think how good it will be for our collective mental health when we all finally have the phone in our own hands, instead of watching everyone else play with it from afar. I would be upset if I had to work. I can't imagine going through a whole day of people giving me mysterious body problems to diagnose even though I can't, and complaining about gods know what because they can lol (I work in Pharmacy...ugh...the stories I could tell :-\) Having the Bionic will be a day well spent

I said it in your original thread...smart phones just aren't for everyone...get a cool flip phone. There is no way anybody receives that many bad phones. You should give up. I know you don't care, but you're driving up the manufacturing cost for everyone else.

Planning on taking the day off thursday. Stopped by VZW store and checked to make sure all is set

My Boss knows I was either planning on coming in quite late or most likely not showing up on Thursday. i'm leaning towards the not showing up as i'll want to put the Bionic through the ringer. I do want to test the hell outa that Lapdock too, so they better have it! lolI wonder if I can call the wireless kiosk at the local Costco and set something up as well... I'd definitely take the morning off to do this.
I stopped in the local Verizon store today to ask a few questions, luckily they were very helpful. They confirmed that pricing is $299, but since the company I work for is a corporate partner with them I could get it for $249 (This could vary from company to company?). I asked if they would have them available if I came in when they opened Thursday and they said they had already received 80 of them (Don't assume every store is like this, aka don't blame me if you wait and miss out ).
I had also been wondering about the Mobile Hotspot, some of the leaked advertising almost looked to me like it would be included without additional fees (One can hope right?) but they said it'd be an extra $30 monthly for that feature.
I'll be stopping in on Thursday AM on my way to work to replace my original Droid, good luck to everyone else in getting one as well!

I appreciate your concern and that I am to blame because you assume I dont know how to use the phone properly. The fact is, the phones all had issues that had nothing to do with anything I had done to them. I wont waste yours or my time explaining myself because theres no point. Read the forums on that model and you'll see people have been through 2,3 or more of them. None of what I went though was fun for me and its been resolved. Enjoy your night.
Do you guys think that corporate Verizon stores will be opening earlier than 10 AM? I have school @ 7:25 so I am hoping that they open @ like 6.
I know there is not a nation wide plan to open up early, because I went by my local corp store and they will open the doors at 0900 like always. You call or go by the one nearest you and ask.
Any vz reps out there know if I can do a "within 2 week trial period" swap of my Thunderbolt for a Bionic and pay the difference? Or, is the Bionic only "reserved for sale" to customers with upgrades and/or new customers?

There are a bunch of people that have been ordering it today (right now) over the phone and having it shipped to arrive tomorrow afternoon. Just have it sent to your office.
